Cobleskill is a town southwest of Schenectady (see map below). Not sure why boys from that town would have been visiting Schenectady.

Saturday, June 24, 1922

Beautiful, bright & warm. Arose 7 A.M. Breakfast. Out on business. H.H. & I down [t]own. Bought brown trousers etc. Shower at Y. Dinner. To S.S. picnic at Rustic bridge. Fine time. Home. To bed 10 P.M.

Since there was a structure called Rustic Bridge in Central Park back in 1922, I'm guessing that's where the Sunday School gang went for their picnic, although looking at a picture of the bridge (below), they probably didn't picnic right on the spot.

Fair, cool, breezy day. Arose 6:30 A.M. Breakfast. Out on business 8-12 A.M. Dinner. Father & I to country. Cultivated. Picked 1/2 bushel strawberries. Home. H.H. & I out for walk. To bed 10 P.M.

Overcast cool day but no rain. Arose 7 A.M. Breakfast. Mother, Father, H.H. and I to Uncle John's. Mixed concrete for foundation of porch. Good dinner. To Park Site. Picked half bushel strawberries, mowed lawn etc. Home. Talked etc. To bed 9:30 P.M.

Overcast, cool. Arose 7:30 A.M. Breakfast. Out on business 9-12 and 1-2. Wrote in diary. Shower at Y, got dress suits etc. Nap. Supper. In evening with Eldyth Proper to State College Senior Ball at Ten Eyck Albany 9-2. H.H. & M.M.B. also. Fine time. To bed 3:30 A.M.

Well, the Senior Ball is part of the Commencement Exercises for the State Teachers College at Albany. Below is an excerpt from the publication giving the schedule for those exercises, including the Senior Ball.

Eldyth Proper is a girl Stanford knew. She evidently graduated from Teachers College that year, as she later became a teacher, as I note in a 1921 diary entry annotation: Eldyth Proper.
