Beautiful, bright & warm. Arose 8 A.M. Breakfast. Hoed etc. Dinner. Mowed lawn. Ruth & I to Little Troy with Ford to go in swimming. Picked berries. Mother, Ruth & I to meet H.H. Talked. To bed 11 P.M.

Little Troy was also called Slab Troy (because of mills there, presumably). It was a part of Charlton and now has a park (Little Troy Park) with a pond and beach for swimming.

The pond, or something like it, must have existed in 1922, though I have found no evidence of that. Here is a marker that told about the area's history:
