Overcast with some rain. Arose 3 A.M. 150 people to top of Carpenter Mt. for sunrise service. Most beautiful. Breakfast. To classes. Dinner. Fooled around. Played & watched ball games. Supper. R.E.P., Petrie, Helen Brundige & I out for ride in Helen's buick. To meeting. To bed 10:15 P.M.

Helen Brundige is probably a young woman who in 1920 lived with her widowed mother, brother Kenneth, and aunt in Scotia. Her mother was a milk dealer. I can find no record of her after 1930, so she may have married after that time. In 1922 she was 17.
