Speedometer R.R.R.C.T. 12,250.

Bright in A.M. Cloudy in P.M.Rain at nite. Arose 7:30 A.M. Breakfast. Took H.H. to train. Mark Sawyer called Ruth on phone from Los Angeles. Mowed lawns. Dinner. Cut wood. Candled eggs. Supper. Read, wrote etc. To bed 11 P.M.

**********
A phone call from Los Angeles must have cost quite a bit in those days. Mark was definitely well off, as Ruth was to learn first hand.
