Overcast, cool & rainy. Arose 9 A.M. Twalay [toilet]etc. To Charlton to Church. Mr. & Mrs. Zerby over Sunday with us. Dinner. Nap. Supper. Read etc. Talked. Wrote letter to Les Jones. Wrote in diary. To bed 11:30 P.M.

Below is his picture, taken from the 1921 Union yearbook, The Garnet. It makes sense that he would become a professor, given his scholarly achievements.
